A Letter from the Owner
After my father, Ben Lazenby, retired from the railroad, he put his working hands to use as a professional handyman, starting our family business — BL Handyman Services. Over the years, he built a reputation for honest work, fair prices, and a job done right. I started apprenticing with him in high school, learning not just how to use a tool, but how to treat people the right way.
A few years before my dad passed, I began working alongside him full-time. I was fortunate to inherit more than his tools — I inherited his work ethic, his positive outlook, and his genuine care for every client he served.
When I took over the business in 2009, I continued that same commitment to quality and honesty while expanding what we do. What started as a small handyman business has grown into Lazenby + Co. Renovations — a full-service remodeling and repair company that can handle just about anything your home needs.
I’m not a sales guy, and I’m not trying to convince anyone to choose us. My dad wasn’t that way either. For more than 25 years, our business grew through referrals alone — no ads, no gimmicks, just good work and good people. Today, as we grow and reach more families, that same heart remains.
Our clients are like family to us. Some have trusted us for decades, and now we’re honored to work with their children. That’s the legacy my dad built — and it’s one I’m proud to carry forward every day.
